Kudos to the Bloomington-Normal business leaders who are working with local officials to provide additional airline service to the communities.

The Community Air Service Initiative, a nonprofit effort spearheaded by the McLean County Chamber of Commerce, is seeking donations from area businesses and local governments to use as an incentive to attract ore or more airline carriers to Central Illinois Regional Airport to replace AirTran, which is halting daily flights from Bloomington to Orlando and Atlanta in June.
