Senator Bill Brady told a panel of state lawmakers October 26 that Governor Pat Quinn’s plan to close Logan Correctional Center poses serious safety risks.
“The facts speak for themselves. We can’t afford to close these prisons, particularly those like LCC that are run so efficiently,” Senator Brady said. “This facility is needed to protect not only the employees who work so hard here, but also to protect the other inmates and to keep our streets safe.”
The 44th District Senator testified before a legislative panel conducting a public hearing on the proposed closure of LCC. About 1,200 people were in attendance as local leaders and LCC employees spoke before the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability (COGFA) at the Chapel Auditorium on the Lincoln Christian University campus." /> Skip to Main Content
