The new law also authorizes park districts to provide patrons with information about head injuries.
“I have worked on this issue for several years with Dr. Edward Pegg of Bloomington, and am pleased that this issue gained such strong bipartisan support,” Senator Brady said. “In fact, House Bill 200 was passed by unanimous votes in both the House and the Senate.”
House Bill 200 is supported by the Chicago Teachers Union, the Illinois Federation of Teachers, the Illinois Maternal and Child Health Coalition, Memorial Hospital, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Rush University Medical Center.
The new law has an immediate effective date.
