Today we mark the beginning of the 99th General Assembly. New State Senators and State Representatives, a new Governor, Lt. Governor, Treasurer, and Comptroller have been sworn in to serve the people of the State of Illinois.
We have before us a tremendous opportunity for a new era of bipartisanship in state government, the likes of which have not been seen in Illinois for many years. I, for one, am excited by the opportunity we have to tackle some of the greatest problems facing Illinois today
In the coming months and years, many difficult decisions will need to be made to ensure that Illinois is strong for our children and grandchildren. It will require all four chambers of the legislature and the executive branch to come together for one common goal, serving the people of this state.
As this new session begins, your input continues to be vital to the work I do. Please contact me or my office with questions or concerns you may have, and make sure your voice is heard in Springfield! You can also visit my legislative website at brady.senategop.org.
