State Sen. Bill Brady(R-Bloomington) reacted Wednesday to news of Auditor General Bill Holland’s impending retirement. Senator Brady took the opportunity to praise Holland’s commitment to the state of Illinois and to wish him well in retirement.
“For the last 23 years Auditor General Bill Holland has ensured taxpayer money is spent wisely and appropriately by the state of Illinois. He has been a great asset to the people of our state. His work on uncovering the vast misuse of funds within the Neighborhood Recovery Initiative under Governor Quinn was invaluable to the Illinois taxpayers. Furthermore, his services to the state throughout his distinguished career have been incredibly beneficial. Auditor General Holland’s honesty, commitment to the taxpayers, and professionalism will be sorely missed in state government. I want to congratulate him on his retirement, and I wish him well as he begins a new chapter in life.”
