State Senator Bill Brady’s 44th Senate District will see nearly $211 million in road and bridge improvements the upcoming fiscal year. The projects are part of Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) Improvement Program.
“These projects will provide important infrastructure repair throughout our communities,” said Brady.
IDOT recently released the Multi-Year Road Program. This plan lays out what the Department expects to spend on road and bridge maintenance and construction in FY19 through FY24.
The FY19 annual element of the Road Program totals $2.2 billion. The Department intends to spend $11.1 billion during the six-year program.
“The IDOT road program will allow the Department to reconstruct or rehabilitate 2,700 miles of highways, and replace or rehabilitate nearly ten million square feet of bridge deck area throughout Illinois,” said Brady.
